2015-2016
Our aim this academic year is to ensure that the requirements of the new national curriculum are fully met. From our actions we endeavour to develop the confidence and professional development of all teaching staff in their delivery of PE.
2014-2015
After focusing largely on quality professional development for teachers last year, this year we are using the funding to encourage children to lead healthy lives. We will be promoting the benefits of balanced diets and frequent exercise as well as providing more opportunities for children to participate in, and enjoy, sport.

2013-2014
At Larks Hill we used this funding to enhance our P E curriculum through partnership with ‘Accelerate’, a Sports and Performing Arts company based at Tong High School. During the Academic Year 2013-14 they delivered a programme of dance, drama and games to all classes in school (2 sessions/week for 2 terms). As well as delivering the lessons, our school staff also had quality professional development allowing them to acquire new skills and develop sustainability for the future. The partnership with Accelerate also included two lunchtime sessions and two after school clubs.
